What I read/watched/listened to in September
VO specific
I’m slowly and methodically working my way through There’s Money Where Your Mouth Is by Elaine A. Clark. This has been the most in depth guide I’ve read so far. I’m only 5 chapters in, because I’ve gone back to reread a few, especially the chapter on Copy Basics.
I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook of Tara Platt and Yuri Lowenthal’s Voice-Over Voice Actor. It was very informative and it was great to hear the authors (both extremely successful voice actors) perform their book.
For Fun Reading
Dungeon Crawler Carl. I mean, who isn’t reading this series right now?! I read The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook, The Gate of the Feral Gods, and I’m about halfway through The Butcher's Masquerade.
Watching
I finally got around to watching the final season (or is it a season plus two movies?) of Attack on Titan. I'd already seen it subbed, but I wanted to hear the dub, both as a fan and to study the performances.
I watched the cutscene movies for God of War III and God of War Ragnarök. Come on, who doesn’t love the deep, rumbling tones of Christopher Judge? But maybe my favorite part is Richard Schiff as Odin. I love that they went against what I would have assumed Odin to be and opted for Toby (in both voice and appearance) from The West Wing.
